During my fourth year of university I spent hundreds of hours writing a dissertation on an obscure area of maths called Category Theory. To my knowledge, a grand total of four people ended up reading the dissertation (I am including both me and my mum -who spell checked). To attempt to convince myself that I didn't waste a large chunk of my early twenties for no reason I have uploaded it below in the hope that other people find some use in it. My target audience includes insomniacs looking for bedtime reading, people in need of a large doorstop, and students who are looking for an accessible introduction to Category Theory and Monads.
